Many people have really large iTunes libraries, which will bring trouble for attempting to transfer iTunes to a new computer. A library usually has a lot of albums, several full seasons of TV shows, a few long movies, so iTunes takes up a lot of hard drive space. And you need a simple and efficient way to backup iTunes or transfer it.

There are many technique methods for you to use. And this article will shows some details on each method. Please see the following paragraphs.

Use iPod copy or backup software
A software probably is the easiest way to backup an iTunes library to a computer. Get a program which will help you easily transfer iPod to computer as the entire iTunes library fits on you iPod.

External Hard Drive
External hard drive offers more storage capacity. You can get a large capacity external hard drive to move your iTunes library to a computer when the library exceeds the storage capacity of you iPod.

Use iTunes backup feature
iTunes has a built-in back up tool that can find in the File menu. File->library->back up to disc. It will back up the whole library to a CD or DVD. So you need blank discs and time to finish the backup.

But a big library will use many CD discs. So this may not be an efficient way. But if you got a DVD burner, things will be much better.

Merging library
To merge multiple iTunes into a single one will need merging software.
