Tuesday, October 26th, 2010

The first option we will want to check is in the bottom right hand corner and it is the max size of the DVD to be burned. By default it should be set to DVD9/8152. This is the capacity of a DVD-9, which is a dual layer DVD. Depending on the size of the video files you are trying to burn, you may either want to leave it at DVD-9 or hit the drop down arrow and change it to DVD5/4483. This is the size of a single layer DVD or DVD-5. For example I am using a DVD-9 but choose what size fits your Video_TS folder.

Friday, September 10th, 2010

I’ve kept some of the DVD disc I burned, many of them was deformed, and the distortion is visible, is this because I kept it in a wrong way?
A: The disc deformation will causes irregular rotation of the disc drive, when abnormal, is often the case is due to irregular rotation of the disc, cause data read errors, even can not read the data. In addition, if the storage environment temperature if too high, can easily lead to deformation of the disc, but also may directly damage the dye layer, causing permanent damage to the disc.

How to avoid damage to recording dye layer of a disc

Thursday, September 9th, 2010

The so-called dye layer of a disc, in fact, is made from a very wide range of chemical substances by mixing elements made of metal, very unstable, external chemical can easily cause damage to the dye layer and loss data. In addition, light exposure and high temperature storage environment may lead to fuel layer chemical reaction and cause damage. Too humid environment tends to cause moisture deterioration to printing layer of disc, or even get moldy, after damaged the protective layer, the reflective layer and dye layer is very easily oxidized and scrap the disc.

It is also possible to have up to 4.37* GB ordinary data or mix DVD-Video and data on a recordable DVD that can be played by most computer DVD-ROMs.
